A Home Is More Than Just a Place
Through a practice shaped by architecture, development, land, and lifestyle, Katharine McQueen helps clients and professional partners recognize possibility early, refine a vision thoughtfully, and bring distinctive properties to market with purpose. She believes where we live is deeply connected to how we live. The right home can inspire, restore, and elevate everyday life. When a home responds to its setting and reflects the way people want to live, it can become a foundation for joy, connection, and lasting value.

Katharine's longstanding study of History of Architecture shaped the way she sees the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit. Architecture has always reflected not only how we live, but how we aspire to live. Proportion, spatial patterns, natural light, materials, landscape, and the relationship between a home and its surroundings all influence how a place is experienced. That perspective guides Katharine's real estate practice: she looks beyond what a property is today to consider what it has the potential to become. For builders and developers, this means recognizing the possibilities within a piece of land, understanding the eventual buyer, positioning a residential project for the market, and connecting the people and resources that can help move a vision forward. For her resale clients, it means helping them see beyond dated finishes, an underutilized room, or a floor plan that may not immediately make sense so they can recognize a home’s underlying potential. Sometimes the right property is not the one that presents itself perfectly. It is the one that, with imagination and thoughtful changes, can become something exceptional.

The Equestrian Lifestyle
Katharine's love for horses began at the age of six, when she first started riding at a local camp. As a lifelong equestrian, she has a deep appreciation for land, the equestrian lifestyle, and the extraordinary connection between people and horses. Her involvement has touched nearly every facet of the equestrian world—from horse ownership and competitive sport to leadership roles at the highest levels. Katharine has proudly served as Chef d’Equipe for the U.S. Dressage Federation at the North American Youth Championships (NAYC), an experience that further deepened her understanding of the dedication, precision, and commitment behind successful equestrian programs. For a number of years, she lived on and redesigned a multi-acre equestrian property. Katharine understands firsthand how land, access, functionality, improvements, and thoughtful design come together to create an exceptional environment.

A Broader Perspective
Although a Georgia native, born and raised in Buckhead, Katharine's career, education, and life have taken her to New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Paris, and Savannah. Those experiences broadened her perspective and strengthened her appreciation for architecture, culture, community, and the many ways people define home and their environment. Her professional career has spanned journalism, business development, relationship management, and real estate. Throughout those experiences, one strength has remained constant: understanding people and bringing people, ideas, and opportunities together.

Today, Katharine brings these experiences together through her real estate practice at Peachtree Town & Country. The firm's boutique approach to luxury real estate aligns naturally with the way she believes clients and professional partners should be represented: personally, thoughtfully, strategically, and with exceptional attention to detail. Luxury is not defined solely by a price point. It is found in quality, thoughtful design, exceptional service, and an experience that feels distinctive from beginning to end.
